Deaths Masquerade

watching the stranger stand alone in the park,
wondering why its noon,
and already dark.
the knowing look that he shoots your way,
feeling his pain.
he will take your life today.

he'll follow you home,
he doesn't care,
he wants your life, that's why God sent him here.
Death is a killer; you cant escape his reality
he'll come for you
even though hes after me.

the front door is closed and locked to him,
he cant be stopped,
he has a key to get in.
that familiar touch, he smiles, and gives,
only producing pain,
taking your life so that he lives.

he'll get in your mind,
he doesn't care,
he wants your life, that's why God sent him here.
Death is a killer; you cant escape his reality
he'll come for you
even though hes after me.

lying on the floor, hes eating your brain,
hes in your body,
your going insane.
with your head in his hands, sharp and clammy,
he holds you now
because hes here for me.

your life's in his hands,
he doesn't care,
he wants your life, that's why God sent him here.
Death is a killer; you cant escape his reality
he came for you
and by doing so, came for me.

you lay there limp, barley alive
holding your torn flesh,
wanting to survive.
Light comes in, Darkness goes out,
your time is not yet
I've chased Death out.

i hold you in my hands,
with all my care,
I've saved your life, that's why God sent me here.
I'm not a killer; but you still escape me
he came for you
because he came for me.

i chase after this mysterious thing called Death,
and he still goes on,
and he vicariously comes after me.
i don't always stop him, mostly i don't try,
but as his work goes on,
Death knows he will die.

i help you recover,
with all my care,
I've saved your life, that's why God sent me here.
I'm not a killer; but you still escape me,
now i go after him
because he came after me

you see me in the distance alone and stark,
is the time to soon?
how is it midnight, but still not dark?
looking at each other from so far away,
the light has come,
does it go away?
